Goodreads Summary:
These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

Review

The Royals are an addiction! Honestly they're too hard to resist. I am, however, slowly finding their antics to be getting way too dramatic. What has me glued to the pages and unable to stop is how entertaining the storyline is. Someone needs to adapt this series into a movie/tv show asap.

The dual POV this time was helpful in learning how much Reed was struggling to make things right with Ella and his family. Though I can't say I cared much. I was annoyed with his smug attitude regardless of how accurate his words were. Also, the constant "babe" and "baby" were a bit much, no? I only liked that he legitimately realizes his mistakes and put effort into trying and making it up to the people he wronged.

At the end of Paper Princess Ella was too quick to judge but under those circumstances I didn't really blame her. Still, I found her hard to warm up to in Broken Prince. I had hoped she would be strong and firmly hold onto her standpoint but she wavered quite easily (in my opinion). I wanted to see her put up more of a fight! At least she's standing by her choice and choosing to believe in those she has come to love.

Callum Royal is not a fool. His involvement in his sons and ward's well-being made him the shiny star in this installment. In contrast, Gideon, Easton and the twins took another dark turn. They were kind of nasty. The spotlight was especially on Gideon as we come to learn his big secret. All the expletives cannot convey how I feel for what he went through and is still going through. No wonder he has such a sad tense presence in the story. I can only pray justice will be served. Harshly I hope.

Erin Watt sure knows how to write cliffhangers because we're left with yet another at the end of Broken Prince. And this one features two shockers. Can't say I feel sorry for what happened to Brooke because she's despicable but not for one second do I believe Reed did it. But we shall see... Steve's appearance (I called it) will also for sure stir up quite the crazy. I'm just rubbing my hands in glee for more drama ;)

This story is cheesy but highly amusing. I definitely will keep reading because I need to know what the end game is. Whether the bad guys will burn in fiery hell and our beloved Royals will smile in blissful heaven soon enough we will find out in Twisted Palace.
