Goodreads Summary:
Kellan McVey is Burnham College’s most prolific athlete, partier, and ladies’ man—and that’s just how he likes it. Returning to reign for his third year, he wants nothing to change. Then Andrea Walsh shows up.

It wasn’t too long ago that Andi and Kellan were lifelong friends, mortal enemies, and, for one hot summer, more. Then Kellan left and Andi stayed behind.

Kellan thought he’d moved past that last summer’s heartbreak, but with Andi sitting next to him in class, befriending his friends, and battling for the same once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity, he’s starting to remember why he hated her…and why he loved her.

Kellan has a long list of reasons that falling for Andi again is a terrible idea, though every new moment together challenges that theory. But Andi’s all too familiar with Kellan’s love ’em and leave ’em approach—and she’s found someone else to get serious about.

Burnham’s campus king has never had to fight for a girl, but if he wants Andi to give him another chance, he’ll have to do the one thing he’s never had the nerve to do: admit it.

Review

Undecided was one of the best New Adult book I read last year and I was just itching for another book. I remember wishing really hard for more and I couldn't be happier when Kellan's story was announced! Thank you Ms. Keyes for making our (I know I'm not alone in this!) dream come true!

This second story features Kellan the ultimate manwhore at Burnham. He well deserves the reputation as he slept around A LOT. It's not a great secret, he was easy. Now if you had asked me what I thought of Kellan McVey while I was reading Undecided last year, complex would not have been a word I'd use in a million years (Sorry Kellan). Then I read Undeclared. I'm surprised to see how much depth there actually is to Kellan. He's really not a playboy. Kellan McVey is actually a sensitive and thoughtful guy. There are reasons, valid reasons, behind his wild and promiscuous ways. When Andi reappears in his life he's forced to reevaluate what he really wants.

Andi and Kellan had major history and chemistry and you could tell. Although I wasn't a fan of the middle ground they were at for most of the book, I do understand why they were stuck there. Otherwise the story would not have been the same. The indecisions and hesitations were all integral to the two of them finding their way (back to each other). They were sweet, hot and just the perfect fit. At times I did feel indignation for Andi having to always wait but in the end, time said it all.

Undeclared is so much fun. I can never get enough of the witty dialogues and hilarious situations. There are some well-meaning stalking by a course advisor, some good-natured teasing from friends and some blunt nagging from not-friends. They really put Kellan's life in perspective and it's just great fun to have them around. I'd really like some more Puntastic excellence please. And it's a no-brainer I'd love for some more Burnham College stories please.

By this point I'm sure you can all tell I very highly recommend the Burnham College books. Both Undecided and Undeclared feature complex characters dealing with realistic problems. It's motivating and entertaining watching them navigate the tough moments while not forgetting to have some sexy fun. There is so much to enjoy about this series. Trust me.

  2. Ahhh! I saved your review because I didn't want to read it before actually reading the book - which I've now done (if you want to check out my review!). I'm so glad you enjoyed this book! I don't usually like second-chance romances (honestly I can't think of one I DID like - with the exception of one of Keyes' adult books), but this one was pretty great. I think I still loved Undecided more, but Undeclared didn't disappoint. I was SO pleased to see that it was written from Kell's POV. :D I hope the author writes Marcela and Nate's story next!

    Wonderful review, Eileen. =)

    1. I saw! I peeked on GR haha. I still love Nora and Crosbie more but I have to say Kellan and Andi weren't bad ;) There's another side to Kellan for sure.
