Goodreads Summary:
When a girl overhears a guy getting verbally destroyed by his friends for being catfished, she jumps in to save the day—and pretends to be his online crush. A young adult romance from the critically acclaimed author of Places We've Never Been .

Wren is used to being called a control freak. She doesn’t care; sticking to the list of rules she created for herself helps her navigate life. But when a cute guy named Asher walks through the door of her neighborhood coffee shop, the rulebook goes out the window.

Asher is cute, charming . . . and being catfished by his online crush. So Wren makes an uncharacteristically impulsive decision—she pretends to be the girl he's waiting for to save him from embarrassment. Suddenly she’s fake-dating a boy she knows nothing about. And it’s . . . amazing.

It's not long before Asher has her breaking even more of her own rules. But will he forgive her when he finds out she's not who she says she is? Wren's not so sure. . . . After all, rules exist for a reason.

Review

Kasie West once again hits the ball out of the park. Borrow My Heart was the epitome of cute and sweet <3

I loved Wren. It wasn't in her nature to put herself out there but she bravely rescued Asher from an embarrassing situation. Her friendship with Bean, a Pit Bull at the animal shelter she worked at, is so special. Coming up with the Bean Games to help him get adopted further proved what a kind person she is!!

From an initial awkwardness to an ease like no other, the banter between Wren and Asher had me grinning from ear to ear. Each interaction of theirs moved them closer together. They were so adorable~ Even the more intense moments made me giddy. Tik Tok incident aside, Asher is a definitely keeper ;)

Social media played a big part in Borrow My Heart. Its inclusion led to the major conflict between Wren and Asher. It was relevant enough to be believable. She had every right to be as angry and hurt as she was. What Asher and Dale did without her knowledge was crappy. But I could also see how their actions were well-intentioned. Though I'm mad on Wren's behalf, it's tricky to be taking one side.

I want to give a big shout out to Kamala! She's the world's greatest best friend. Whether it was words of advice or comfort, she knew exactly what to say to Wren when she needed it. Kamala is awesome and fun. I hope she gets her own book :D

Full of delightful friendships and sweet romances, Borrow My Heart was the cutest. It's a quick read that will leave you with a smile on you face~
