Stacking the Shelves #62

Stacking the Shelves button

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews that lets us share what we've added to our shelves.

I attended Raincoast Books' TeensRead Winter+Spring Preview last weekend. It was super fun to hear about the new books coming out. These two ARCs were in my swag bag and I just about died when I saw Truthwitch. Needless to say, I squealed a lot at home and then proceeded to devouring the whole thing. Now I need book 2!

Event Recap: Raincoast Books present TeensRead Winter+Spring Preview 2016

TeensRead Preview Winter + Spring 2016

Last Saturday I attended the TeensRead Winter + Spring Preview hosted by Raincoast Books in Vancouver. Thank you so much for the invite Raincoast! I had a great time meeting all you ladies and hearing you talk about upcoming YA releases.

I was pretty nervous since this was my very first bookish event. It was a very friendly atmosphere though and all the bloggers were very enthusiastic about the titles and just books in general. I was very quiet (I usually am) but I had a very fun time! I met Olivia who blogs at We Like To Book and she works at Chapters! I've always wanted to work at Chapters! A shoutout to Olivia - thank you for talking to me :D At the end of the event, we took a very nice group picture. It's on Raincoast's Instagram right here if you want to see. I wanted to save the picture but Instagram won't let me haha. Also, I realized after that the Raincoast ladies weren't in it! Please get in the picture next time!!

The Toronto bloggers were also present through Google Hangout. I saw quite a few familiar face from twitter like Ri from Hiver&Café! She saw me and DMed me. It was really funny. We both wanted to wave but felt it might be too awkward so we sort of ended up just staring at each other (yep not awkward at all). Check out her recap, #RiGoesOutside with all the Toronto bloggers!

These are some of the titles that I'm super excited about! Click on the cover for the Goodreads link with more info ;)

I didn't include ones like The Winner's Kiss and The Beauty of Darkness since they're super popular already so it goes without saying I'm excited for them :D Here is a complete list of all the titles the ladies presented (click to enlarge):

Do you see anything you're excited for? Are there any books on this list you haven't heard about but has now made it onto your radar?

Each blogger also got an awesome swag bag full of goodies. I was super lucky to discover an ARC of Truthwitch in mine! I was really calm when I saw it but the moment I got home I freaked out lol. Then I pretty much devoured the book. I LOVED IT!!! Now I'm dying for book 2. The waiting is going to be pure torture but I'll definitely be re-reading Truthwitch again and again!

Review: Where You'll Find Me by Erin Fletcher

I don't recall where I saw this book from but not a lot of people seem to have read it so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and maybe you will be too if you give it a try :)

Goodreads Summary:
When Hanley Helton discovers a boy living in her garage, she knows she should kick him out. But Nate is too charming to be dangerous. He just needs a place to get away, which Hanley understands. Her own escape methods (vodka, black hair dye, and pretending the past didn't happen) are more traditional, but who is she to judge?

Nate doesn't tell her why he's in her garage, and she doesn't tell him what she's running from. Soon, Hanley's trading her late-night escapades for all-night conversations and stolen kisses. But when Nate's recognized as the missing teen from the news, Hanley isn't sure which is worse: that she's harboring a fugitive, or that she's in love with one.
