Goodreads Summary:
Sophie wants one thing for Christmas-a little freedom from her overprotective parents. So when they decide to spend Christmas in South Louisiana with her very pregnant older sister, Sophie is looking forward to some much needed private (read: make-out) time with her long-term boyfriend, Griffin. Except it turns out that Griffin wants a little freedom from their relationship. Cue devastation.

Heartbroken, Sophie flees to her grandparents' house, where the rest of her boisterous extended family is gathered for the holiday. That's when her nonna devises a (not so) brilliant plan: Over the next ten days, Sophie will be set up on ten different blind dates by different family members. Like her sweet cousin Sara, who sets her up with a hot guy at an exclusive underground party. Or her crazy aunt Patrice, who signs Sophie up for a lead role in a living nativity. With a boy who barely reaches her shoulder. And a screaming baby.

When Griffin turns up unexpectedly and begs for a second chance, Sophie feels more confused than ever. Because maybe, just maybe, she's started to have feelings for someone else . . . Someone who is definitely not available.

This is going to be the worst Christmas break ever... or is it?

Review

I knew Ashley Elston wrote thrillers but wow can she also write romance! 10 Blind Dates was super cute, super uber swoony and super uber duper funny. It's the full package!

Sophie's an awesome gal. She has her fair share of teenage drama but she doesn't let them get the better of her. Her bond with her older sister was the best. And don't even get me started on the Fab Four! Misunderstanding aside, I love how they were always there for each other. How I wish I was a part of them!

10 Blind Dates is set during Christmastime so there were lots of holiday shenanigans revolving around Sophie's dates. Each one she went on was highly entertaining. Her family gets all the creative points because even the "bad" dates were laugh out loud hilarious. Like Sophie's family, I couldn't wait for her dates to show up at the door.

Sophie's family was adorable. What a rowdy bunch they were! Now don't ask me to list them out or in order- there were just too many of them but you do get familiar with all the names and each family member was amazing and quirky in their own way. Some acted as mentors to Sophie while others lent her their shoulders when she needed and cheered her up during difficult times.

Hearing of Nonna's holiday traditions was my favourite part of 10 Blind Dates. The food made my mouth water and the family gatherings sounded chaotic but full of warmth. My favourite tradition has to be how they wore matching Christmas pajamas on Christmas Day. Just imagine the family photo hah~

I can't even begin to tell you how much I adored 10 Blind Dates! It's everything I love in a contemporary romance <3 Ashley Elston is an author I'll be keeping an eye on!!
