Goodreads Summary:
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone. . . .

A convict with a thirst for revenge

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager

A runaway with a privileged past

A spy known as the Wraith

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes

Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

Review

I really enjoyed the Shadow and Bone trilogy and after reading Six of Crows I've fallen even harder for the Grishaverse. I can see why people love Leigh Bardugo. Her world-building and storytelling are all bloody brilliant.

What I Liked:
- an extremely imaginative story
- Ketterdam- dark and full of secrets and promises
- the politics held an interesting dynamic
- a thrilling heist full of the unknown
- action action action!
- the flawed but lovable characters
  - each of the MCs had so much depths
  - a variety of backstories
  - the ugly but necessary evils that made them who they were
- the uneasy yet growing bond between the six MCs
- (sexual) tensions between the couples

The Not So Much:
- the hype got to me, the story is missing that one wow factor

"That's what he wants, not what he needs. Leverage is all about knowing the difference." (p. 80)

"Facts are for the unimaginative." (p. 263)

"Better terrible truths than kind lies." (p. 308)
