2017 Love-a-Thon - Mini-challenge #8: On the Road (Trip)!

2017 Love-a-thon banner

Pick 3-4 bookish people you'd take on a road trip- describe the trip and your destination!

This is such a fun idea! I am going to pick all book characters for this one because it's not everyday (more like never) that I'd get to see my favourite fictional characters let alone go on a trip with them so I'm going to dream a little ;)

Lila from V.E. Schwab's Shades of Magic series was the first person to come to my mind when I saw road trip. She'd be such fun company. I have a feeling I'll probably be nonstop laughing at her snark. We will be joined by Will Herondale from Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices! Another character that will bring lots of sarcasm and laughs to our group. Ismae from Robin LaFevers's His Fair Assassin series will be the level-headed person in the car. She's resourceful and calm and will get us out of any unfavourable situation that we just might find ourselves in (Lila and Will are bound to do something silly and get us in trouble right?). Last person in the car will be Cath from Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl. She's a girl after my own heart so we'll be shyly fangirl-ing and gawking at the other characters. We made an amusing bunch haha...

A Gathering of Shadows  Clockwork Angel  Grave Mercy  Fangirl

And our destination is: Universal Studios Orlando! More specifically we'd be going to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Before we left, we'd all have gotten sorted into our Houses so once we've arrived, we'd all change into our House robes. Then we'd wander around the theme park drinking frozen butterbeer and eating chocolate frogs~ I imagine Cath would be longing for Simon and Baz but that's okay because I'd pull her back in and we'd have an amazing time seeing the looks on Lila, Will and Ismae's faces~ The magic of Harry Potter for all! *wink* :D

Also, I'd never want this trip to end lol...

Top Ten Tuesday button

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish where people share their top ten things according to the topic of that week.

So a while back, I succeeded in getting my sister to read The Fault in Our Stars~ *happy dance* She really enjoyed it and shed tears too. So for this week's freebie Top Ten, I thought it would be fun to make a list of books I'd push, force, coerce, recommend to my sisters who aren't really avid readers!

Liars, Inc. by Paula StokesThe Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver
1. Liars, Inc. by Paula Stokes - So I haven't really read this one yet buttttt I just know it's going to be awesome and I want my sisters to read it so we can all guess the killer together ;)
2. The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver - I want to see what my twin sister would think of this one!

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie WestFangirl by Rainbow RowellTo All the boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
3. The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West - Cuteness needs to be shared!
4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - Another adorable one that they need in their life~
5. To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han - I feel like we're really similar to the Song sisters so I want them to try this book.

Snow Like Ashes by Sara RaaschThe Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
6. Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch - I guessed the twist about half way through the book. I need to see if they will too :D
7. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers - Assassin nuns are not to be missed!!
8. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson - I wonder if my sisters will guess correctly who's who~~~

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. SchwabThe Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
9. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab - They need to experience the awesomeness that is this book!
10. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon - I want them to feel my pain in waiting for each book to come out. Just kidding~ This series is epic and mindblowing and they need to see if for themselves!!

I don't have ten books today because I normally don't reread books. There are just so many books out there that I want to read I've never really spent time rereading a book. I skim through or skip to my favourite scenes ;) The ones I've chosen below are ones that I really love and I'd go back and relive all the feels.

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

Grave Mercy coverDark Triumph coverMortal Heart cover

The His Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers was the first thing that popped into my head when I read this week's question. I love the looks and the fact that they can conceal weapons under their dresses and robes and still look lovely! They can even disguise weapons as accessories! Seems so deadly yet beautiful!!

What's your favourite fashion from books you've read and thanks for coming by!

Note: I'm still on vacation so I won't be able to comment and follow back right away but I will as soon as I can!
