TTT #38: Quotes that Stuck with Me from Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish where people share their top ten things according to the topic of that week.

I haven't been much of a quote-taker until recently but here are a few I've loved so far :)

1. "I love you more than I hate everything else." from Landline by Rainbow Rowell

2. "Words give wings even to those that have been stamped upon, broken beyond all hope of repair." from The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

3. "But fear and understanding are kindred things. Both involved the loss of the familiar and the terrible danger of knowledge." from The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

4. "I'd rather die on an adventure than live standing still." from A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

5. "Things that look perfect on the surface are masking flaws." from The Truth About Us by Janet Gurtler

Goodreads Summary:

Paige Mahoney has escaped the brutal penal colony of Sheol I, but her problems have only just begun: many of the fugitives are still missing and she is the most wanted person in London.

As Scion turns its all-seeing eye on Paige, the mime-lords and mime-queens of the city’s gangs are invited to a rare meeting of the Unnatural Assembly. Jaxon Hall and his Seven Seals prepare to take center stage, but there are bitter fault lines running through the clairvoyant community and dark secrets around every corner.

Then the Rephaim begin crawling out from the shadows. But where is Warden? Paige must keep moving, from Seven Dials to Grub Street to the secret catacombs of Camden, until the fate of the underworld can be decided. Will Paige know who to trust? The hunt for the dreamwalker is on.

I read The Bone Season last week and omg it was amazing. So incredible. I loved the world, the characters and the story. Technically I already have an ARC of this but I'm still super excited to get my grabby hands on a finished copy!

I ordered this one when it was 50% off! I've already read the ebooks but one can never have enough of Magnus Bane, right? ;) Plus, there's a bonus story!!!

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson and Sarah Rees Brennan

I am so lucky to have won this from Goodreads First Reads! Thank you Penguin Canada for such a speedy delivery. And I just devoured The Bone Season which I seriously loved! Can't wait to jump into this one~
