I got picked to be this week's featured blogger on Alison Can Read! Thank you!
When did you start blogging?
I started in July of 2014! Can't believe it's already been seven months :D
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Getting to interact with other book lovers! I love being able to chat and flail about everything book-related. It's so much fun!
What type of books do you mainly blog about?
Mainly Young Adult and New Adult for me! Although I have recently started reading some Adult books and found them really enjoyable!
What is your favorite book(s)?
I recently fell in love with The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon because it's SO good! The world is so complex and the characters are all so fantastic. I can't wait for more!! It's a mixture of different genres so I think it'll appeal to a lot of readers.
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
The best thing is also my favourite thing which was my answer for question #2~ It's been so wonderful getting to know other bloggers. Before I started blogging I had no one to talk books with but now I have a bunch! I'm so grateful for the chance to be friends with these awesome people!
This week's question:
Do you
read more than 1 book at a time, and if so, how, like a certain amount
of pages per book before moving on to the next one in the queue?
I try to stick to one book at a time however I have read two books at once. That happened mainly because a) I either wasn't in the mood for the first book so I had to set it aside or b) because I received review book(s) that required my immediate attention. I never go over two books at a time though and I also finish the two before I start a third!
Do you read more than one book at a time and thank you for visiting!
Great response. I'm the same, I try to keep it down to on book, but sometimes I need to switch it up and pick up a second book. I like to think I'm being productive haha

ReplyDelete:D Thanks Ali~
DeleteI'm right there with you! Only one book at a time unless I'm not really into a book I'm reading! Congrats on being featured!!
ReplyDeleteOld follower!
Pearl @ AsteriskPearl's Book Blog
Thanks Jennifer :) Do you go back and finish that book?
DeleteCongrats on being featured! Following you via bloglovin'. :)
ReplyDeleteBrooke at Brooke Blogs
Thanks Brooke :)
DeleteYay!! Congrats on being featured :D Getting to interact with bloggers is always the best. I want to start reading more NA :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel! Yes!! It's so awesome to have met you and a ton of other bloggers~~ You should definitely give NA a try :D
DeleteCongrats on being featured this week :D
ReplyDeleteI'm like you. I usually only read one book at a time. I just read too fast to start a second or third book!
New follower via Bloglovin
Thanks! It sounds nice to be able to read fast! I get distracted easily so I'm not a fast reader :)
DeleteCongrats on being featured! I usually am a one book girl too. :)

My FF
Thanks~ I find it a bit confusing to read too many books at once haha.
DeleteCongrats on the feature!! I don't usually read more than one paper book either, but I think as long as they were different genres I could keep them straight! Haha! Old follower :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&F!
That's very true! I don't read multiple books at once cause I don't want to confuse the stories but different genres shouldn't be a problem ;)
DeleteCongrats on the feature! I don't think I could just read 1 book at one time! There's just so many to read! New Bloglovin' Follower! Here's My FF! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm curious, how many books have you read at one time? And thanks :)
DeleteYay! Congrats on being the feature, that's incredibly awesome. And, ohmygosh, I absolutely ADORE The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. Have you read The Mime Order yet, because it's even better and holy crap that ending. lol. It totally caught me off guard.
ReplyDeleteUsually when I'm reading more than one book, it's one that I have on my Kindle (a review eGalley, etc.) and then a physical one that I've picked off of my shelf that I'm trying to get read. :)
Happy Reading and Hopping Through! :)
Suz @ A Soul Unsung
YES I've read The Mime Order and it was just PURE AWESOMENESS haha!! That ending slayed me lol!!!! So glad you love it too :D
DeleteOmg I'm like you too! I don't read two books at once very often but if I do, one is an ebook and the other is a physical. Hope you have a great weekend~~
Congrats on being featured blogger! I admire you for your response. I try to keep the book count I'm reading at small as possible but sometimes I just get stuck with some books and set them aside because I don't want to force myself to read them. That's why I've two to four books currently to read, usually.

I understand exactly how you feel! Reading shouldn't be forced, you should enjoy it :)
DeleteOoh, congratulations on being featured! I also started blogging in July, small world. :)
ReplyDeleteI juggle books, currently I'm juggling three, but it's kind of easy-ish since they're all in different formats (laptop, Kindle and physical).
I pretty much pick up whatever I want. If it's at night though (or dark), I'll read on my Kindle since it has a backlight. If I'm on the laptop, I'll be sure to read at least a couple chapters a day and then if it's during the day, I'll read the physical copy. :)
Wow you read on your laptop?! I don't think I could ever do that but I'm like you with kindle and physical copies.
DeleteCongrats on being featured! I am incapable of reading only one book at a time for some reason. I often have one audio and one kindle, and then yet another I have to read for class...
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic Friday.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I'm similar that I read one book on my kindle and another physical book. it's like we're itching to read as much as we can through any means :)
DeleteAwesome, congrats on being Featured! I usually have 2 books going, occasionally 3 - I'm such a mood reader that I'll flip if something isn't holding my attention.
ReplyDeleteOld bloglovin' follower :)
My FF this week
Thanks Marsha :) I think two is my max. I'll start feeling stressed out if I have too many books open at once.
DeleteCongrats on being featured!
ReplyDeleteI'm a 'loads of books at once' girl.
New GFC follower x
My FF
That actually sounds like fun haha ;)
DeleteYAY for being featured!! Huzzah! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a one book at a time girl myself! If a book doesn't work for me, I usually DNF it or will keep trudging through to see if it picks up. Only 1 at a time for me.
Here's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!

ReplyDeleteHolly @ Words Fueled by Love
Thank you Holly~ I followed you back!
DeleteCongrats on being featured! It is wonderful speaking to all the book bloggers in the community! I also generally only read one book at a time. However, I am currently reading two as one is a set text for english literature!
ReplyDeleteIt's my absolute favourite thing about blogging!! Textbooks are in a whole other category of reading ;)
DeleteYEAH Congrats on being feature! I also love getting to know fellow bloggers and flailing about books (like our Mime Order chat!).
ReplyDeleteI'm the total opposite on reading multiple books. I am almost never reading less than two books. I can't only focus on one books.
Happy FF! Old follower.
Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally
YES I had so much fun!! Hope we get to do that more often~
DeleteThat's very unique! Most people can't concentrate on more than one book but you're the opposite, neat!
Congrats on being featured!

Friday memes
Audiobooks sound like fun :)
DeleteBecause I can read on my kindle app with my phone I normally end up starting a second or third book out of the pure convenience of it being in my close grasp.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being a feature Eileen!!
Monique @ Mo_Books
Thanks Monique~ I try to make sure I always carry my kindle or a book with me but that's what I do too :D Gotta love the convenience!
DeleteAwesome responses to these questions! I also try to read just one book at a time since I forget certain things form a book I'm currently reading if I'm reading another book at the same time.
ReplyDeleteRonyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
Thanks! That seems like the number one problem with everyone :)
DeleteI'm mostly a "one at a time" reader. Congrats on the feature. I'm following via feedly. Here’s my F&FF..
ReplyDeleteThank you Annette.
DeleteGreat answer! Congrats on being a Featured Blogger! :D
ReplyDeleteBefore I started blogging, I would only read one book at a time. But since then I usually read 2 books at a time. I try not to read more than that, but sometimes I do read more than that.
New Follower via GFC
Thank you :) I hope you're able to keep up!!
DeleteYAY for being featured!!
ReplyDeleteI usually read more than book at a time, sometimes I need to shift from one book to another if either of the books doesn't capture my attention enough.
THANKS :DD That's me too but I try really hard to just read one at a time. Mainly cause I don't want to fall behind on writing reviews since I'm already bad at keeping up lol.
DeleteI carry my mp3 player at work and listen to audio books all day, but at home I have hard copies and my tablet. So I always have at least 2 books going.
ReplyDeleteI followed you on bloglovin'
I'm thinking about listening to audiobooks too! I have lots of time to listen but not so much time to read haha.
DeleteYes I find that meeting other bloggers is the best thing about book blogging! I used to feel so alone before joining this part of the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteIt is the best! It's so great to hear you've met wonderful people and made awesome friends :D
DeleteCongrats on being featured! I love meeting other books lovers that have similar books tastes like mine. I try to not read too similar of books at the same time, or else I know I will mix them up. You've got a new follower!
ReplyDeleteLizzie @ lizziethesarcasticblonde.blogspot.com
