Feature & Follow #32: Fantasy or Realism

Feature & Follow button

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

Please don't ask me to choose! I honestly love both!! There are times when I'm in the mood for fantasy then I'm a hardcore fantasy lover. Then there are times when I need a good fix of realistic books, then I'm a contemporary addict. For example:

Fangirl by Rainbow RowellThe Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

I love both of these books! I cannot rave enough about them (click on the pictures to my see reviews). I love different things about them so I wouldn't put one above the other. They're both amazing~~ So I'm going to have to go 50/50 on this :D

Do you like fantasy or realistic books and thank you for stopping by!

  1. I agree! I'm a total mood reader so just because I say I love fantasy a lot more doesn't mean I can't get into a good contemporary romance every now and then! Old follower :)

    1. I'm curious as a primarily fantasy reader, what are some of your favourite contemporaries?!

  2. A long time ago (okay not that long ago) I would have said realism hands down but I am loving fantasy now so there is just no way I could decide against the two either. Plus sometimes I need one and other times the other. I love having a wide range of genres out there to choose from.

Happy Friday Eileen! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

  3. Nice! Seeing this a bit today! For me, I'm straight up paranormal or"fantasy". Though in my answer I took realistic to be a type of setting, as I did with fantasy. In that sense I read both, because a lot of my paranormal reads are set in our world kind of setting! LOL!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. It it Fantasy/Sci-Fi for me. I only read realistic stories when they are review books and they have to have some heavy social message going on to interest me. However, the favorite book of my life so far is To Kill a Mockingbird, so go figure. I used to like Historical Fiction when I was younger, but it doesn't appeal to me anymore.

    1. I'm wondering when/if I'll ever lose interest in the genres I love right now. Specifically New Adult. I think it's all getting a bit repetitive even though sometimes I just can't help but want to pick up something that sounds different. Does that make sense? Lol... I'm more hesitant with books with social messages because they can get quite emotional. Sometimes it gets so overwhelming it takes me some time to recover :S
