Goodreads Summary:
Life is a mixed bag for Piper Calloway.

On the one hand, she’s a twenty-nine-year-old VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm, and living the high single life with her two best friends in a swanky downtown penthouse. On the other hand, she’s considered a pair of sexy legs in a male-dominated world and constantly has to prove her worth. Plus, she’s stuck seeing her narcissistic ex-fiancé—a fellow VP—on the other side of her glass office wall every day.

Things get exponentially more complicated for Piper when she runs into Kyle Miller—the handsome new security guard at Calloway Group Industries, and coincidentally the first love of her life.

The guy she hasn’t seen or heard from since they were summer camp counsellors together. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks. The guy who apparently doesn’t even remember her name.

Piper may be a high-powered businesswoman now, but she soon realizes that her schoolgirl crush is not only alive but stronger than ever, and crippling her concentration. What’s more, despite Kyle’s distant attitude, she’s convinced their reunion isn’t at all coincidental, and that his feelings for her still run deep. And she’s determined to make him admit to them, no matter the consequences.

Review

As a romance reader I've heard of K.A. Tucker on numerous occasions but Say You Still Love Me is my first foray into her writing. I enjoyed the overall story but had a couple issues with the characters and certain plot points.

The alternating Then and Now chapters in Say You Still Love Me were interesting as I liked learning how the characters met and bonded and seeing how the years have changed them. However, the length of this novel was a little on the long side for me. I found myself putting the book down because parts of the story just didn't hold my attention.

I desperately wanted to feel more for Piper and Kyle while reading Say You Still Love Me but I just couldn't connect with them. Their romance didn't feel as epic as Piper made it out to be. Don't get my wrong, they were cute and hot together but the teenage insta-love doesn't have me convinced they could still harbor such strong feelings for each other after the long years apart.

I will say, the female empowerment in Say You Still Love Me was excellent. Piper may be needy in the romance department but career-wise she was independent and efficient. She spoke her mind, took no nonsense and treated others with the respect they deserve. A strong female lead definitely gained a few points with me.

The ending to Say You Still Love Me was sadly a bit of a letdown. We get dropped a huge bomb that could've given the story more meaning and development but it only made for a few brief scenes. Furthermore, all the conflicts that were built up throughout the book also didn't seem very important by the end. They were conveniently and quickly taken cared of.

Say You Still Love Me was all about first love and second chances. While I had some problems with the plot and pacing, it was a sweet love story. I do recommend trying out a K.A. Tucker book to see if her writing style will appeal to your heart.
