Goodreads Summary:
Where there are ghosts, Cassidy Blake follows ... unless it's the other way around?

Cass thinks she might have this ghost-hunting thing down. After all, she and her ghost best friend, Jacob, have survived two haunted cities while travelling for her parents' TV show.

But nothing can prepare Cass for New Orleans, which wears all of its hauntings on its sleeve. In a city of ghost tours and tombs, raucous music and all kinds of magic, Cass could get lost in all the colourful, grisly local legends. And the city's biggest surprise is a foe Cass never expected to face: a servant of Death itself.

Cass takes on her most dangerous challenge yet...

Review

Matching its predecessors, Bridge of Souls was a lot spooky, a great deal of fun and super interesting. Easy to get into and quick to finish, Cassidy Blake and her friends encountered quite the scare in this third book.

"Stories have a way of making the world feel bigger, too." (p. 182) Set in New Orleans, Bridge of Souls was a most enjoyable history lesson. Victoria Schwab's writing made the story come alive. The parades through the streets, the meeting with the old members of the Society of the Black Cat and the tours of the cemeteries, all made me feel chillingly present. I was both scared and thrilled.

Cassidy, Jacob and Lara made a great team. Their friendship was endearing and enduring. I really enjoyed their company through the streets of New Orleans, past and present. These too-mature-for-their-age kids faced down ghosts and death time and time again. With the assistance of the Society of the Black Cat (Philippa gave me some great laughs!) and their trust in one another, they were able to beat their odds.

As with all Victoria Schwab's books I found much wisdom nestled inside the pages of Bridge of Souls. One part in particular resonated with me. So relevant with much needed clarity and definition:

"Tarot cards don't tell you what you don't already know. They make you think about what you do. Those cards just make you think about what you want, and what you're scared of. They make you face those things. But nothing can predict the future, Cassidy, because futures aren't predictable. They're full of mysteries, and chances, and the only person who decides what happens in them is you." (p. 101-102)

Victoria Schwab confirmed online that Bridge of Souls is the conclusion to Cassidy Blake's ghostly adventures. While I think it's a nice place to end I sincerely hope we have not seen the last of these characters. Especially Grim the kitty XD
