There was this whole incident on Twitter a few weeks ago involving the author of this book. I don't want to say anything more just that I will be reading this book since I requested it and the story sounds like something I'll enjoy. Thanks so much to the publisher for kindly sending me a copy!

Cover Reveal & Giveaway: The Hazards of Sleeping with a Friend (Hazards #5) by Alyssa Rose Ivy

This is one of my favourite NA series so I'm thrilled to help reveal the cover to my most anticipated story yet~ First, here's a little info about the book!

The Hazards of Sleeping with a Friend
(Hazards #5)
by Alyssa Rose Ivy
March 26, 2015

Goodreads Summary:
Warning: Sleeping with a friend might change your life forever.

Sleeping with Kyle was never in the plans. Pretending to be his girlfriend was one thing, but letting our relationship become anything but platonic was another. The problem with mixing friendship with sex is that inevitably feelings get involved, and when that happens there's no turning back.

When Kyle's life fell apart around him, I needed to help, but doing that meant opening myself up to the most terrifying thing in the world—falling in love.
Now here it is!!

WoW #34: The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne

Waiting on Wednesday button

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted every week by Breaking the Spine which lets us showcase an upcoming release we are excited about!

The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie ThorneThe Wrong Side of Right
by Jenn Marie Thorne
March 17, 2015
400 pages

Goodreads Summary:
Fans of Sarah Dessen and Huntley Fitzpatrick will enjoy this smart debut young adult novel, equal parts My Life Next Door and The Princess Diaries—plus a dash of Aaron Sorkin.

Kate Quinn’s mom died last year, leaving Kate parentless and reeling. So when the unexpected shows up in her living room, Kate must confront another reality she never thought possible—or thought of at all. Kate does have a father. He’s a powerful politician. And he’s running for U.S. President. Suddenly, Kate’s moving in with a family she never knew she had, joining a campaign in support of a man she hardly knows, and falling for a rebellious boy who may not have the purest motives. This is Kate’s new life. But who is Kate? When what she truly believes flies in the face of the campaign’s talking points, she must decide. Does she turn to the family she barely knows, the boy she knows but doesn’t necessarily trust, or face a third, even scarier option?

Set against a backdrop of politics, family, and first love, this is a story of personal responsibility, complicated romance, and trying to discover who you are even as everyone tells you who you should be.

Present day politics is a topic I have not yet read in any books. I think this one will be super interesting ;)

What are you guys waiting on this week?

Review: Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Landline by Rainbow Rowell
Landline
by Rainbow Rowell
July 8, 2014
310 pages

Goodreads Summary:
Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble;it has been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply — but that almost seems beside the point now.

Maybe that was always beside the point.

Two days before they’re supposed to visit Neal’s family in Omaha for Christmas, Georgie tells Neal that she can’t go. She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her — Neal is always a little upset with Georgie — but she doesn't expect him to pack up the kids and go home without her.

When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything.

That night, Georgie discovers a way to communicate with Neal in the past. It’s not time travel, not exactly, but she feels like she’s been given an opportunity to fix her marriage before it starts . . .

Is that what she’s supposed to do?

Or would Georgie and Neal be better off if their marriage never happened?

Love-a-Thon - Mini-challenge #3: One Can Only Quote

2015 Book Blogger Love-a-Thon banner

Of all the books I've read, this is my favourite so far. It's hard to explain why but it really stayed with me. It puts a smile on my face every time I remember it :)

Anyone else who's read Landline think this quote is memorable?

What are some of your favourite quotes?

Love-a-Thon - Mini-challenge #2: Book Valentines

Who would you ask to be your Valentine?

Love-a-Thon - Mini-challenge #1: Book Spine Poetry

2015 Book Blooger Love-a-Thon banner

I'm not a very creative or artsy person but here's my attempt at poetry~

Book Spine Poetry #1
This one turned out to be a little dark but not intentionally lol. I just thought it all sort of makes sense and goes well together. It's a love-turned-into-hate sort of feeling. Hope that makes sense :P

Book Spine Poetry #2
I had a lot of fun making that first one so I decided to do a second one. This one's nicer and about second chances :)

What do you think of my poetry?

Love-a-Thon Kick-Off Questionnaire

2015 Book Blooger Love-a-Thon banner

What’s your name?
Hi!! My name is Eileen :)

Where in the world are you blogging from?
I'm in Vancouver, Canada, the land of maple syrup and beavers!

How did you get into blogging in the first place?
Basically I'm surrounded by non-readers in my life. It's so hard when I love a book and have no one to talk to so I started writing down my thoughts down and posting them on Goodreads. Then I discovered booktube and book blogs! A place where I can nod and agree to what other people thought about the books I've read too. When I wanted a more personal space to talk about books, I decided to join the blogging community. So glad I did because I've met so many awesome people since then :D

How did you come up with your blog name?
Well, I thought about using bookworm but then a lot of blogs I visit already use it and I wanted to be more original. I love my cat very much so I thought, why not be a bookcat? I don't know what a bookcat is but I'll be the only bookcat right?! Haha~ To add a bit of a personal touch, I added Pin because it's my nickname. There you have it, BookCatPin!

What genre do you read and review the most on your blog?
Mainly Young Adult and New Adult although I have been really getting into Adult books recently~

What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews?
I do a couple memes, some discussion posts and the occasional cover reveal, book blitz and release day launch promo posts. I also love posting about my cat, Ripple~~~ Sorry if you're not a cat lover :P
Ripple

Best blogging experience so far?
Getting to meet and chat with other book lovers! I can't even begin to express how thankful I am to have met so many awesome people! You guys have changed my life in the best possible way!!

Favorite thing about the blogging community?
How welcoming and warm everyone is! Just WOW!

Name the 5 books you’re most excited for this 2015!
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie WestThe Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne
End of Days by Susan EeA Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. MaasHidden Huntress by Danielle L. Jensen

Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF?
Right now it would be Delilah Bard from A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. She handles herself so well!! I just want her to teach me how to be sassy hehe~

Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests?
Does book shopping count? ;) I love going to the bookstore and just staring at rows after rows of pretty books~

Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for?
I pretty much only shop for books hahaha.

At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song
would be playing?

Hmmm I listen to all sorts of different language of music but right now, I think it would be Taylor Swift's Blank Space. I know she's promoting a new song now but this one's just so catchy!

Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV
show you want turned into a book.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell please!! I need to see some Cath/Levi cuteness~

Thank you so much for taking your time to visit my blog!
