Hi guys! I'm very happy to be participating in The Crystal Tour! If you know the Air Awakens series, you know it's about to come to a conclusion with the release of Crystal Crowned on July 12th. To celebrate the series, Elise has organized this tour and I'm very excited to be sharing my post with you today! But first, a little about the book that started it all~

Goodreads Summary:
A library apprentice, a sorcerer prince, and an unbreakable magic bond...
The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.
Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all—the Crown Prince Aldrik—she finds herself enticed into his world. Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she’s known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she’s always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla’s indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.
I've got some friends on the blog today to answer three simple questions about the Air Awakens series. They've all read the books and are here to share their love with everyone!
1. Elise followed me on Twitter and I checked out her Facebook Street Team page and signed up to be a part of the cover reveal for Air Awakens. From there, it all went up!
2. Oh man, so much. I adore this series and the growth that Vhalla goes through. There were so many quotes in Air Awakens that really spoke to me and I felt as though I was allowed to change and grow with Vhalla. Elise took us on a journey of self-exploration and self-discovery through the eyes of her main character.
3. Elise is one of the best people in my life. She is always there to listen if you need an open mind and never judges what you have to say. She will do some great things in her life, beyond writing great books.

1. I first found out about this series when I was hanging around twitter and saw a post from Talina Roma of Sassy & Dangerous where she was promoting the review sign-ups for Fire Falling. AA wasn't released yet, but since I saw its cover in that post, I fell in love with it. Then Elise Kova answered one tweet from me saying the book housed not one but TWO princes. It then became a must read for me.
Erika from The Nocturnal Fey
1. I found out about Air Awakens series when I joined a Twitter chat (it's RQWN if I'm not mistaken) and met Elise there. Then I saw her books, and I started stalking her. The rest is history. lol
2. It means a LOT!! I once posted this photo of my AA series books on my Facebook with the caption "My love for this series is unfathomable."
3. I'm just thankful that I met Elise here on Twitter. I mean, failing to discover AA series would have been a big loss for me (I'm serious lol). So, I just want to thank her for writing such a wonderful piece, and for being an awesome Major to her Tower Guards. Much loves from the Nocturnal Fey <3 :p

1. I don’t remember where I was, but a month or so into blogging, I stumbled across a blog that had a teaser scene. I’m pretty sure it was the library scene, where she sees the phantom for the first time. I remember falling in love with the idea of a library girl and a prince, and the comparisons to the Phantom of the Opera only made it more intriguing.
I saw that Elise was looking for street teamers, and I reached out to her, though I was so sure she’d ignore me for being a complete blogging newbie. But she didn’t! She said she was a newbie author, so we were a perfect match, especially after we discovered that we’d both lived in and loved Japan. It really was the beginning of something special!
2. In Air Awakens, I found a girl that I could relate to, bookish and searching for her place. As events unfolded around her, I found the thoughts and reactions I would have echoed on the page moments later. I felt like Elise had written a part of me onto the page, which is why I was given the title of Actually Vhalla Yarl by her and some of the other street team members we chatted with.
However, over the course of the series, Vhalla changed and grew and went through a lot of hardship. She matured enormously and became a leader. By the end, Vhalla was no longer who I was but who I wanted to be. I think of her at the end of the series and see a fierce and caring role model, someone I can learn from and aspire to be.
Air Awakens is truly special to me, but I think, above everything else, it’s Vhalla’s transformation that means the most.
3. Thank you for writing the Air Awakens series and giving me characters to love and cry over. Thank you for breaking my heart and putting it back together again and again. But most of all, thank you, Elise, for being my friend. I can’t wait to see you in October when you visit London!

1. Goodreads! Lots of readers add me as a friend on Goodreads, and I regularly scan through my update feed to see what people are reading, what they love, and what they hate. I kept seeing the Air Awakens cover popping up over and over, and people really seemed to love it.
2. I love the series, but what it really represents to me is my friendship with Elise, because it was responsible for us meeting. Someone asked for a recommendation on Twitter and I suggested Air Awakens because I'd seen so many of my own fans loving it. Elise and I ended up starting up a conversation because of that one tweet, and now it's a pretty rare day when I don't talk to her.
3. There are not enough words in the dictionary to fully describe Elise's awesomeness! I've met many authors over the years, but my friendship with Elise is without a doubt the most significant connection I've made. She is kind, thoughtful, talented, intelligent, and she has a wicked sense of humour. No matter how busy she is, she never hesitates to help a friend out. I'm extremely excited to finally be able to hang out with her in person during UtopiaCon this month, and then again in Vancouver in July (where we will see you, Eileen! Right?!)
Yes yes yesssss! A million yeses to seeing Elise and Danielle next month!! SO EXCITEDDD~ Thank you so much to Jamie, Melissa, Erika, Dani and Danielle for sharing your thoughts on the blog today <3 Can you tell we love Elise and the Air Awakens series? ;)
Now remember to pick up the Air Awakens books if you haven't yet. You won't regret it!

1. How did you find out about the Air Awakens series?
2. What does this series mean to you?
Ripple and I will go first ;)
1. I first found out about Air Awakens when I saw the cover on Twitter. I was instantly in love *heart eyes*. I immediately went on GR to read the synopsis and it sounded exactly like my type of read so of course I added it to my TBR. After that, I contacted Elise and told her I'd love to help her promote AA and she was so nice and sweet with her reply~
2. It means meeting new people, fictional and real. I will forever remember Vhalla, Aldrik and all the characters that's taken me on such a beautiful and emotional ride. Being on Elise's street team has also been a very memorable experience. I'm the quiet and not quite sociable type but joining the street has me gushing over the series with others! It's been fun watching people express their love for a series I also really love. I'm especially grateful I got to "meet" someone as wonderful as Elise!
3. Elise, thank you for always being so kind and warm! You're so brave to choose self-publishing (remember that daredevil postcard I sent you? *wink*) and you deserve all the success. I can't wait for more from you! <3 <3

It's the kind of series every bookworm or bookdragon or any other bookish type dreams about finding because it gives you every single feel imaginable. Even through pain and heartbreak, I have enjoyed the journey it has taken me through.
3. I just want to thanks Elise for sharing the Air Awakens series with us. I'm grateful she decided to publish them and bring to life such a fascinating world that, not only has it entertained readers, but it has also allowed readers to bond and build friendships with people who also share the love for this series.
