Review
What a thoroughly enjoyable love story! I was afraid #Starstruck would be melodramatic given the Hollywood aspect of the story but that was not the case at all. The story was surprisingly down-to-earth and the characters were adorkable.
I loved the writing in #Starstruck. The story was very well put together making it a breeze to read. A lot of it was really relatable even though I doubt anything like it would ever happen in real life (but you just really never know). The little tidbits that at first felt like they were just mentioned in passing, actually play a bigger part in the plot. I was really impressed with how certain things came full circle.
I adored Zoe and her random fact-sharing ways. She had her insecurities but was brave enough to step out of her comfort zone to pursue her happiness. Her emotions definitely experienced some highs and lows but through it all Zoe stood by her principles. One of her actions bothered me (lying (sometimes by omission) to her loved ones especially to her best friend) however I was pleased to see her address the issue herself.
How sweet can a guy be because Chase Covington is almost too good to be true. I loved his effortless charms and easygoing personality. For someone who acts for a living he was real genuine when it came to his personal life. Chase wasn't a squeaky clean guy but he was always honest and did his best. So dreamy!
I'm happy to see the main characters tackle some social issues in #Starstruck. Discussions of Chase's alcoholism and Zoe's celibacy vow were more than welcomed and so beneficial to their growth. It was honestly just so great to see Zoe and Chase work through the differences in their beliefs. Their banter is super adorable with hilarious innuendos abound.
#Starstruck is such a dreamy and swoony romance. I strongly encourage fans of modern Cinderella type stories to pick up a copy. You may very well be dazzled ;)
