Goodreads Summary:
He’s a Wall Street wolf. She’s been hired to tame him. From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne comes a wildly sexy novel of business and pleasure.

Twenty-eight and filthy rich, Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He may be a “boy wonder,” but he’s every inch a man. Ask any woman—any night. But when Matt’s latest fling makes scandalous headlines, his clients get anxious, and his bosses at Wolfe Investments level an ultimatum: keep his assets zipped, get a “real” girlfriend, and clean up his act. Only one woman can help Matt with something this hard.

For PR genius Sabrina Cross, the best fixer in Manhattan, playing Matt’s steady is going to be a challenge, even if it’s just for show. They already have an explosive history, she can’t stand the cocky party boy, and worse—she can’t stop thinking about him. So who’ll dare to break her “no touching” rule first? Because when that happens, Matt and Sabrina’s game of let’s pretend will get so hot it could set both their reputations on fire.

Review

I have read a lot of Lauren Layne books but Hard Sell might be my favourite one to date! Every second of this love story was enjoyable and sexy. The frenemies-to-lovers (as per the author) trope was perfect.

Hard Sell features minimal drama but lots of personal growth. Sabrina and Matt's dynamic, even though tense most of the time, was amazing. Anyone who's read Hot Asset, the first book in the 21 Wall Street series, will be familiar with them. These two have the most unique non-relationship- an exceedingly compatible physical relationship but a nonstop bickering friendship. Their familiarity with each other made every aspect of their interaction entertaining and pleasurable.

I'm a huge fan of Sabrina's. Despite a rough childhood she's grown up strong and capable. Her thoughts and actions were all so mature. Sabrina puts all of herself into her job and gives all of her heart to her friends. I love the way she owns up to her feelings. Nothing like a little truth to knock some sense into some people. Matt's aversion to commitment is not without valid reasons. While it took him a bit more time to realize what he had with Sabrina was special, he outdoes himself in sincerity. These supposed mortal enemies are actually constant allies.

After loving Sabrina and Matt's story my excitement for Kate and Kennedy's book is through the roof! I have all my fingers and toes crossed that it'd happen. Pretty please Montlake Romance, you have to pick it up!!
