Goodreads Summary:
The thrilling second installment in New York Times bestselling author Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series.

It should have taken Juliette a single touch to kill Warner. But his mysterious immunity to her deadly power has left her shaken, wondering why her ultimate defense mechanism failed against the person she most needs protection from.

She and Adam were able to escape Warner’s clutches and join up with a group of rebels, many of whom have powers of their own. Juliette will finally be able to actively fight against The Reestablishment and try to fix her broken world. And perhaps these new allies can help her shed light on the secret behind Adam’s—and Warner’s—immunity to her killer skin.

Juliette’s world is packed with high-stakes action and tantalizing romance, perfect for fans of the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard and the Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken.

Review

It's been a while since I fell deeply in love with the middle book of a series but yes Unravel Me was every bit as awesome as other readers have said. What a wild but fulfilling ride. It really is an amazing sequel!!

What I Liked:
- the entire plot was very exciting for me
- learning a lot more about the world
- the rebel force fighting for their survival
- the nonstop action
- the always charged atmosphere
- all the heightened emotions, ready to boil over tension
- some slow but nice character developments
- Juliette's many realizations about herself
- hello surprising twists
- Kenji and the things that came out of his mouth~~
- scenes featuring Juliette with Warner
- the demise of couple Adam and Juliette hahahahaha

The Not So Much:
- the usage of actual numbers felt out of place (vs. spelling out the numbers (eg. 1,2,3 vs. one, two, three))

"A handful of letters doesn't always make a word, love." (p. 316)

5 Cats
