Feature & Follow #6: What book/series would make a better TV show than a movie

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

For this question, I'm going have to go with The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I think there's so much to the Shadowhunter world that can be explored if it was turned into a tv series. There would be more time to explain the world, get to know the characters and understand the overall story. A spinoff series on The Infernal Devices would be even more awesome ;)

What book/series would you pick and thanks for visiting!

  1. I've only read City of Bones and I thought it was good but I never went on with the series because it was just a little too detailed for me. But I really enjoyed the movie and I plan to watch the rest of them.

  3. Was this the one that was made into a movie? Haha! I read the first book in the series, but I didn't love it. I still think that such an in-depth world would be a much better TV show than movie. Old follower so I added you on Goodreads :)

  5. I agree, the movie did not do this series justice at all. There just wasn't enough time to get into the details it needed to and a tv series would be a great way to do that.

    1. Yes!! I really wanted those details but sadly the movie couldn't make it happen. I really hope we can get a tv series ;)

  11. SUCH a perfect choice! The books got boring for me, but I really think it could make an absolutely perfect TV series. It's too long for movies too, but yes, I could really see this on TV!

  12. Totally agree! The world would be so much better built in a TV show and we would get all those little, important details that make the books amazing! Nice choice!

  15. I haven't read the books but I saw the movie and yeah, maybe it would have been much better as an TV show. There's so many books and so multilayered world so TV show would have done better justice, I think.
