Feature & Follow #41: Cure to Book Hangover/Reading Slump?

Feature & Follow button

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

I don't really have an answer for this one because I've never really been in a major book hangover or reading slump. If I ever do fall into one though, I'd try re-reading a favourite book~ Probably a cute and fluffy one that doesn't involve much brainwork ;)

What do you do to get out of a book hangover and/or reading slump? Thanks for visiting!

  1. Always a great idea. In fact, I think everyone should do this every so often just on principle. :D Happy Friday! My FF

  2. You're lucky you haven't dealt with one! I try to read a book that I'm really excited for and that usually works!

    1. That sounds like a good way too! I'll have to remember it in case I do find myself in a slump :)

  3. Nice! I've never found myself in a slump of any kind either, but a favorite read does sound like a good cure!

  4. Wow, you must be really lucky to have never been in a slump! I recently got over one. There was just nothing that I wanted to read! I also just got over a book hangover too! I read Diamond Head by Cecily Wong and just couldn't stop thinking about it. I read Vampire Academy then thinking it would be a good palate cleanser... but now I'm just hooked on that series ;) I find that with a reading slump or a book hangover, it's best to just pick up an easy read! Nothing too heavy or long

  5. I get in a slump every once in awhile and I usually just take a break for awhile. That helps and I'm back in a reading mood soon enough.

  7. Even though I get into a slump on occasion, I'll still keep picking up books to add to the pile. (lol) I usually just switch to tv programs to catch up on things I've missed, but a book is still beside me. Great topic and happy Saturday. Hugs... Ro

  8. Yes, I definitely go to a favourite of mine if I'm in a reading slump! Or just a book that I've been highly anticipating to read.

  9. If I'm in a reading slump, I take some time off reading and do other stuff, mostly catch up on watching shows or re-watch favourite movies or the like... after a week or so of not touching a book I'm usually itching to grab a book!
