I want to:

2. Use my cellphone less when I'm out.
3. Procrastinate less and write my reviews on a timely basis.
4. Exercise and stay fit.
5. Buy a second bookshelf. Might be very soon ;)

6. Cook more. Or rather learn to cook more different dishes.
7. Be more active on social medias like Twitter.
8. Convince my sisters to read. Good luck to me~
9. Schedule posts at least two weeks ahead.
10. Play with Ripple more!

Here's Ripple~~

Ripple says Hello!

I realized I've never properly introduced my cat before! He's my trusty little co-blogger and book model~

First off, his named is Ripple. He's named after ripple chips, my mom's favourite. We were just joking around at first but it had a nice ring to it so we decided to keep it. About four years ago, we adopted him from our local SPCA. He was just the friendliest and most adorable little thing we've ever met. We took him home the next day!

He's different from other cats because he doesn't have a tail. The SPCA told us he'd been seen wandering the streets for six months. It wasn't until someone noticed he was hurt that he was brought in to the SPCA. Apparently his tail was mangled and rotting. They don't know exactly what happened to him but their best guess was it got caught on some fences. In the end they had to amputate it. Now he just has this little stump he waggles but even without a tail, he jumps and climbs just fine~

When he first came home with us, he was a little shy. He sniffed around, found a place and laid down to sleep. After four years, he runs around like a wild child and meows nonstop for food. We have endless nicknames for him like Po, Ripopo QPo, LilFatty and FatPo lol. He's pretty much the center of all our attentions and my parents spoil him silly!

Some of the things he enjoy doing include sleeping, eating, bird-watching, sleeping some more, staring, playing, eating some more and sleeping like there's no tomorrow. That about sums up his daily routine but here's a picture for you to visualize it better ;)

Ripple's daily activities.
Ripple's daily activities.

Thank you for reading Ripple's story! If you'd like to see more pictures of him, he's on Instagram! My sister tries to share pictures of him on there from time to time~ I'm also thinking of doing a post every Sunday just to share more of him with you guys. What do you think?

A Darker Shade of Magic coverA Darker Shade of Magic
(A Darker Shade of Magic #1)
by V.E. Schwab
February 24, 2015
400 pages

Goodreads Summary:
From V.E. Schwab, the critically acclaimed author of Vicious, comes a new universe of daring adventure, thrilling power, and parallel Londons, beginning with A Darker Shade of Magic.

Kell is one of the last Travelers—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes—as such, he can choose where he lands.

There’s Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there’s Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne—a place where people fight to control magic, and the magic fights back, draining the city to its very bones. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.

Officially, Kell is the Red Traveler, personal ambassador and adopted Prince of Red London, carrying the monthly correspondences between the royals of each London. Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see—a dangerous hobby, and one that has set him up for accidental treason. Fleeing into Grey London, Kell runs afoul of Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations, who first robs him, then saves him from a dangerous enemy, and then forces him to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

But perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, Kell and Lila will first need to stay alive—and that is proving trickier than they hoped.

This list was super easy because I just looked at my Wish List. I have more than one list and I keep changing my mind and juggling them around but these are the ones that I really want right now.

2. Froi of the Exiles (Lumatere Chronicles #2) by Melina Marchetta
3. Quintana of Charyn (Lumatere Chronicles #3) by Melina Marchetta

I have a weird habit of buying books out of order. Somehow I'm missing the first book to each of these series. (Can we please have a cover change for Shatter Me like they did for Throne of Glass?)
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. MaasThe Darkest Minds by Alexandra BrackenShatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
6. Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) by Tahereh Mafi

Out of these two books, one's a new release which I haven't gotten around to buying yet and the other I simply need a physical copy to hug because I loved it.
Gathering Darkness by Morgan RhodesThe Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
8. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black

Technically these two books aren't out yet but I'm so excited for them!!

5.  Pick one fictional character you’d take with you on your winter vacation!

6. Name one book on your wish list this year!

I have two wishlists, the books on Eileen's Wish List are books I really want and the other named Maybe are books I do want but I don't know when I'll get to them. I think right now my most wanted is the Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchatta!

7. Favorite holiday drink, treat, & movie?
Hmmm.. I don`t have a favourite holiday drink but I love hot chocolate. It keeps you warm during the cold days :) My favourite holiday movie would probably be Home Alone. It's a classic and I enjoy it every Christmas :D

Feature & Follow #23: My Go to Genre

Feature & Follow button

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

I don't really have a go to genre being a mood reader and all. However, I guess if I'm feeling really happy, I'd want to read an exciting fantasy book! If I'm feeling down, I'd want to read something to cheer me up which would be a cute contemporary. If I'm angry, I'd probably reread something I love or some dystopian to make myself feel better hahaha~

Now I'd like to share Ripple's happy, sad and angry looks ;)
Ripple's happy look
"Is that food?!!!"
Ripple's sad look
"Can I please have more treats?"
Ripple's angry look
"Grrr, give me all your food!"

What is your go to genre when you're happy, sad or angry and thank you for stopping by!

Review: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Ugly Love
by Colleen Hoover
August 5, 2014
322 pages

Goodreads Summary:
#1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
